Berlin Pic of the Day: Diana Hunts Berliners

So I'm not saying I'm going to do this every day, but today I am posting a new pic. It's a lovely day today and I took a walk up to the Flak Turm and Humboldt Hain park, where there's a rose garden that includes this statue of the goddess Diana. I rather liked it in the light and setting. She's got a dog with her too, but in the best pic I took of them both there's a bush in the background that looks like it's sprouting out of the hound's head. A nice lesson for me to take note of such things...

So... for those of us who must travel vicariously... you really should consider a picture a day... this is BEAUTIFUL... thanks! Just saying, not telling, not begging...

I'll do my best! Tomorrow I'm headed to some of my favorite places, so there should be more good stuff, weather permitting!

Good to hear you are visiting the UK. Don't know what you have planned, but when I toured some American chums around the UK a few years back, we really enjoyed tea at the Ritz, expensive tourist rip-off though it is. There is something strangely satisfying about paying £36 each for a sandwich, cake and a well-made cup of tea. You have to pre-book though (can be done on the web) and there is a dress code.
We finished it off with the ultimate corny theatre trip and did the hammy as hell Mousetrap. I thought it was dire, but my chums who previously had only been to see high school productions were very impressed. I think if I were doing theatre this year, I'd be tempted by The Prisoner Of Second Avenue at the Old Vic, but that is 100% American and so perhaps lacks the British experience.

Anyways, hope you have a great time in London, I'm sorry I live 150 miles away else I'd have hunted you down and had you sign my book.
